It's over, it's ended, the pain has now gone,
You've crossed over to the other side where the battle is done
No more sleepless nights and days racked with pain
But rather peaceful moments are yours to be eternally gained.
Yours was no easy path but you walked it with integrity, humility and spirit,
You would not give in, not be overcome and certainly not fear it,
You fought long, you fought hard, you were a warrior through and through,
No element of the battle was too big, too demanding to defeat the spirit within you.
While for us there is now an empty void where you once stood
For you, there is an eternity filled with only peace and good,
We will miss you tremendously and your absence daily hits a raw nerve,
But enjoy your eternal reward for it is no less than what you deserve.
Know that you were loved, adored, respected and so much more,
When we were around you our spirits felt they had to soar,
We won't forget you, your spirit will live on in us as we remember your smile,
And take the strength you showed with us into every trial.
Your legacy is found in the words we tell ourselves when life gets tough,
When we grit our teeth and say I can take more, this will not be enough,
The memory of you will inspire and keep us to our path true
