The bells are ringing, the day is now here
When you make the vows you'll always hold dear
The ones you'll remember in future days
That will help keep you together when challenges display.
Your love is young and blossoms like a beautiful rose
With time and nurturing its scent will deepen and grow
For as in a garden the rose needs tender loving care
Remember the words 'I love you' on your lips daily to wear.
You stand at a gateway on the road to the future that's yours,
Where your effort and success has resulted in many open doors,
The world is your oyster and you have so much to enjoy
As you step forward and consider how your skills to employ.
Untold joy you gave to me the day you agreed to become my wife,
Bringing an end to my unspoken fears, worries and strife.
To sense the enormity of your commitment to me and my life
Is more than I can describe and I repeat to myself in disbelief - this day you become my wife!
To love forever is the promise I make to you this day,
The depth of my feelings hopefully expressed through the words I say,
But how do I tell you just what you mean to me in every way,
And how special this moment in my heart will forever stay.
Today is the day you have both been planning for quite some time,
Looking to create something special, something unique and incredibly fine.
A day to remember as the weeks turn to years,
As together you sail the ocean of life, holding each other dear.
